About
Well-rounded experience. Practical perspective.
I’m Dominic Gassman, founder and principal consultant at Primo Studio. For more than 15 years, I have worked professionally across data, reporting, systems, client strategy, and business operations.
My background spans hands-on technical work, client-facing consulting, and leadership-level decision support. That range helps me understand the business problem, choose the right approach, and build something people can actually use and maintain.

Based in Kansas City. Available nationwide.
Primo Studio is based in Kansas City, Missouri, but nearly all projects can be delivered remotely. I work with companies across the country and plug in wherever experienced data, reporting, or process support is needed.
Where the expertise comes from
Experience inside startups, major enterprises, and the teams in between.
I have worked in very different operating environments—from small consultancies and early-stage companies to large, complex organizations—so I know that the right solution depends on the size, maturity, and reality of the business.
Industry range
My strongest depth is in healthcare, with additional experience across insurance, banking, manufacturing, construction, data consultancy, supply chain, and operational reporting.
Company range
My career includes Berkshire Hathaway, Kiewit, Valmont, St. Joseph’s/Candler, Commerce Bank, Proximo, and Holmes Murphy—plus several startup environments and three Fortune 500 employers directly.
Geographic range
I have worked with companies and teams tied to Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Georgia, New York, and Florida, bringing familiarity with different markets, business cultures, and operating expectations.
Why that range matters
Most business problems are not purely technical or purely strategic.
They sit somewhere in the middle. I have worked on the front end, back end, client-facing side, and hands-on build side, which lets me move between those perspectives without losing the thread.
Build the solution
Work directly in the data, formulas, reporting logic, and systems instead of stopping at a recommendation.
Understand the business
Connect the technical work to the workflow, decision, cost, or operational problem it is supposed to improve.
Lead the conversation
Work comfortably with executives, clients, technical teams, and day-to-day users to keep everyone aligned.
Translate complexity
Turn technical detail into a clear recommendation, decision, roadmap, or next step that leadership can act on.
Improve the process
Look beyond the immediate output to reduce repeated work, strengthen controls, and make the process more dependable.
Leave it maintainable
Document assumptions and structure the work so the business is stronger after the project—not newly dependent on a black box.
Experienced support without the unnecessary complexity.
I value direct communication, practical solutions, and work that becomes useful quickly. If that is what your team needs, let’s talk through the problem.
